SIXTEEN athletes from Gau Secondary School will carry the hopes of the school and the people of Gau in the Coca-Cola games at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
These athletes competed at the Ovalau zone last month for the first time and majority are gold medalists that will participate in the games.
The school went through some difficulties in their preparation but will not dampen their spirits of participation in doing their best.
Meanwhile, half of the athletes couldn’t make it to the games despite being qualified due to financial issues.
