FIJI’S head coach Angeline Chua is confident that her team has what it takes to win the 2025 OFC Women’s Nation’s Cup on home soil.
The former Singapore national rep expressed her belief that they could become the first Fijian team to lift the trophy, emphasising the preparation and determination of the players.
Chua acknowledged the pressure of the upcoming tournament but stressed the importance of enjoying the experience and putting into practice everything they have learned as a team.
“There is a little bit of pressure, you know the work is done from the previous months, so we need to go out there and enjoy, and put on what we have learned,” said Chua.
She highlighted the advantage of playing at home and the support from families and fans, stating that it would give them a unique edge.
“We have prepared very well and now is the time to deliver, it’s time to put to practice everything we have learned and conquered together as a team.
Fiji will kick off their campaign against the Solomon Islands 7pm today, at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
