THE results speak for themselves, says Biu Colati, vice-president of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union.

He made the remarks when sharing his insights on the results of the Vodafone Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve semi-finals at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium on Saturday.

“First of all, I think all spectators and supporters were there with their own expectations and I’m quite sure that some expectations might have gone low, not according to their expectations,” Colati said. “I think the results last Saturday, spoke for themselves. We were really happy with how things went, our plans and as far as Fiji Secondary Schools (Rugby Union) is concerned.

Results where certain schools caused major upsets and others continuing their dominance did not go unnoticed.

“Now, we are talking about the best of the best,” he said, as he noted how the finalists were either from the Eastern or Southern Zones, with the Raluve U18 finalists, Natabua High School and Jasper Williams High School from the Western Zone.

“Looking at the teams that have qualified to the finals, I think these teams have the capacity to come out winners.” He stated it was a depiction of how they had set themselves apart from other teams and has left what he says is a tight spot in determining who will outshine the other.

“It makes it really difficult for anyone to predict who is going to come out winners, and I think that is something good about this competition, it’s good that you are not able to predict.”

The finals of the Deans and Raluve competitions will take place at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this Saturday
