Government has confirmed the early release of civil servants’ final salary payment for the year, with wages paid out today ahead of the Christmas.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said the move is aimed at easing financial pressure on civil servants and their families during the festive season, while also providing a boost to economic activity nationwide.
“The early release of salaries is intended to assist civil servants and their families in meeting their financial commitments during the festive season, while also supporting economic activity across the country,” the Ministry said.
Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development, Esrom Immanuel, acknowledged the contribution of public servants over the past year, praising their dedication and professionalism.
“Civil servants continue to play a critical role in delivering essential public services and advancing our national development priorities,” Immanuel said.
He also extended festive greetings to public sector workers and their families.
“I wish all civil servants and their families a safe, joyful and prosperous Christmas and New Year,” the Minister said.
The Government advised that the next scheduled salary payment for civil servants will be made on 8 January 2026.
Reaffirming its broader commitment, the Government said it remains focused on prudent fiscal management while ensuring the timely and reliable payment of public servants, particularly during significant national and cultural occasions.
