THE renovation of the long-awaited multi-million-dollar Lautoka swimming pool will resume on November 20.
Lautoka City Council chairman and acting CEO Taitusi Rasoki told this newspaper the council had appointed a consultant to investigate the project’s scope of works.
“We had appointed a project management consultant, so the consultant is Andrew Singh of WesEng Consulting Ltd,” Mr Rasoki said.
“They are looking into compliance issues regarding the contract to be given to the contractor to continue the tender of the project.
“We go through the consultant in any project work, and we appointed the consultant to look after the scope of works — design, compliance, budgeting, civil engineering structural and environmental engineering.”
Mr Rasoki confirmed the project would be completed in July 2026, although this would depend on weather conditions.
