The Assemblies of God (AOG) Church in Fiji is hoping to construct an $8 million five-storey building for its head office in Suva.

This was confirmed yesterday by AOG general secretary Pastor Filikesa Koroivueta.

Mr Koroivueta said the phases of development together with its cost would be passed during the conference.

“That is one of the things that we want to talk about,” he said.

“Where we have professors to come and present on where we are at the moment.

“And regarding planning of building a five-storey head office which would cost about $8m.”

Mr Koroivueta said the building would be located next to their old office at Robertson Rd.

“Part of the centennial celebrations is to have a long overdue head office. The wooden building is almost giving up now.

“It is a milestone, we stand on the shoulders of our pioneers, ministers, and leaders of Assemblies of God, continuing on with the work.

“This is something that was planned but could not eventuate.

“I think it is time now for us to stand up and make a difference. And we are called to make a difference.”

The AOG head office is expected to be completed in 2026 to coincide with the church’s centennial celebration.
