Church minister on fraud charge to take plea next month

A 58-year-old Methodist Church of Fiji minister from Ba charged with obtaining financial advantage will re-appear at the Suva Magistrates Court to have his plea recorded on September 4.

Kolinio Bulivakarua who is alleged to have unlawfully withdrawn $7,683.68 from the mataqali Walakewa TLTB Trust account, appeared before Suva Magistrate Yogesh Prasad yesterday.

The alleged incident happened while he held the post of Divisional Superintendent of Bukuya, Ba, Bulivakarua between January 1 and May 31 four years ago.

His bail has been extended.
