MEMBERS of the Chinese community gathered at the Civic Auditorium in Suva today to celebrate the annual Chinese Lunar New Year.
While officiating at the celebration, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commended the community saying that over the course of 165 years, their community had truly proven to be an integral part of the Fijian society.
“And as we’ve moved forward, the Chinese-Fijian community has been an invaluable partner in our nation’s development,” Mr Bainimarama said.
