EXPECT this year’s Style Fiji fundraiser in Nadi to be bigger than last year’s event, say organisers.
Tickets have already gone on sale for the biggest charity fashion show in the country, with proceeds from the gala event to go towards Cure Kids Fiji, an organisation dedicated to providing oxygen to hospitals and helping children with rheumatic heart disease.
The theme this year is “Style Fiji in Bollywood Glitz and Glamour”.
Organiser, Project Bula Mai chairman Adrian Sofield said his team was working hard to prepare for a fun-filled and exciting event.
“It’s been very successful over the years and we have a number of tables booked,” he said. “The event has become very popular. “We only have about 40 tables and nine or 10 of those are already booked.
“We are looking again for corporate sponsorship so we’re actually in the market to start promoting this year’s event. “KPMG audits our accounts every year so to anyone donating, the charity money is accountable to the last cent.”
According to Mr Sofield, about $35,000 was raised to assist Cure Kids Fiji in 2016.
Through the event, Project Bula Mai has also provided an ambulance to St John Ambulance – Fiji and is assisting them to set up a Nadi base.
Style Fiji will be held on December 1.
