TISI Sangam says financial records are fully audited and transparent with strict accountability measures in place for major projects.

Chief executive officer Jai Narayan said this while explaining the funding structure and audit process for the organisation’s initiatives, including the College of Nursing project.

“We are funding all our projects. The College of Nursing project is partly funded by the Government, with $0.9 million budgeted for the project. The rest of the money will be paid by the TISI Sangam,” he said.

“We get our funds audited annually, and it is presented in the AGM, we didn’t have any issues.”

Mr Narayan stressed the importance of compliance for all building proposals, noting that experience is necessary to navigate the required processes.

“Some of the new heads of schools might not know the process so that is where we come in, because you must be compliant with particular building projects so that you don’t have any incidents, or you use public money, and the building deteriorates in five, seven years, then what’s the purpose?

“You have to be very transparent and accountable in using public funds for any building works.”
