GETTING the opportunity to play an international game on home turf holds is a special moment for the boys says Fiji Water Flying Fijian team captain, Tevita Ikanivere as they gear up to face off against the Scotland Rugby team in today’s Test match.
Ikanivere emphasises the significance of playing an international match at home, highlighting that it is a rare opportunity that the players only get once a year.
He adds the chance to compete in front of their families, friends, and the entire nation of Fiji adds a layer of importance to the game, and the team is eager to put on a show for their supporters.
The upcoming match against Scotland is anticipated with great excitement, with Ikanivere expecting nothing less than the best from both teams as they battle it out on the field.
“It’s an international match, we expect the same every time the best from their nation and also the best from our nation and looking forward to battling out with Scotland,” said Ikanivere.
The debut of Sam Wye is a proud moment for both himself and his family, as well as their village.
