Cabinet reshuffles are always open, says Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
In an interview with The Fiji Times’ online portal, The Lens@177, Mr Rabuka said there was no set timing for it.
“We have had a good year,” said Mr Rabuka.
“We have looked at what we have done and we have had minor hiccups and where I have had to speak to a few of them.
“If I have to do another reassessment of their performance and their duties at this time after 12 months then we will have to consider the effect on our moving forward together.
“The term is four years. There is no point waiting until the end of two years to make the change.”
Mr Rabuka said the best time to change was after the first year and before the beginning of the third year.
“So, the second year will be a very good time for us to have a reshuffle, and not only for better efficiency but also in preparation for a stronger Cabinet coming in after the next election.”
