PASSENGERS from the West escaped injuries when the bus they were travelling in to Suva was stoned near Naboro on Thursday night.
Manager for Pacific Transport Ltd, Salesh Nand said it was the second stoning incident they’d experienced and happened at the same place and around the same time.
“It is good that no one got hurt, the incident happened at about 10pm,” Mr Nand said.
“So, we are now looking at options on whether our evening bus service from the West to Suva and vice versa should continue.
“We are worried about the safety of our passengers and driver. After this latest incident, we will need to assess the situation.”
The driver reported the matter at the Lami Police Station. Damage to the bus has been estimated at $3000.
Police have not responded to questions on the incident.
