BULA FC head coach Stephane Auvray has emphasised professionalism and team culture as crucial foundational pillars for Bula FC as they prepare for the eagerly awaited OFC Pro League in January.
With the arrival of the team’s overseas-based players, Auvray has been impressed by how well they have integrated with the local squad.
“Yes, they were all welcomed, I wanted them to bring in that professionalism that we’re getting which they are doing,” he said.
Given the high expectations placed on the team, particularly the overseas players, Auvray has stressed the importance of adapting to the team’s culture to ease their transition.
“There’s obviously a thin line for them of being demanding and adapting to the culture as we are getting ourselves ready for professional football,” Auvray said.
He described the camp as an excellent preparation for the players, providing them with first-hand experience of the demands of professional football.
With the majority of players preparing for their first-ever professional league, the focus has been on endurance, improving athletic ability, and technical development for Auvray and his coaching staff.
This ensures the players meet the pace, skills, and demands of the Pro League.
The team is currently undergoing an intense two-week training camp at the Fiji Football Academy in Ba and will break for the Christmas holidays.
Training will resume after the break and continue until the OFC Professional League begins in January.
