The FMF Bula festival queen contestants took part in a clean-up campaign at Koroivolu Park in Nadi Town.

Miss PSG Electrical Karalaini Turuva said protecting the environment was crucial.

“We should assist each other in maintaining a clean environment,” she said.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Miss Guard Force Fiji, Phoebe Wilson, who urged residents of Nadi to keep their community clean.

“When we have an unsafe environment, it may affect our health as well,” Ms Wilson said.

“So, if you see any rubbish around, please pick it up and put it where it belongs in the rubbish bin.”

The 65th FMF Nadi Bula Festival will take place from July 19 to July 26 at Koroivolu Park, with an entertainment stage to be located at Prince Charles Park.

Nine queen contestants are vying for the crown.
