Bula Queen Misiki

FOR 21-year-old Seasea Misiki being crowned Digicel Bula Queen is a feat that never dawned her mind.

But on Saturday at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, the Lakeba, Lau, native did just that when she was crowned queen.

Ms Misiki said she was honoured to be crowned Queen and Miss Charity.

“I’m still in shock,” she said minutes after her crowning.

“I think the initial shock will still be with me but I am also very happy and truly grateful for the honour.”

She said there were so many people she credited for the win.

“I have to thank God first because without Him I wouldn’t have the confidence and the ability to take up this challenge,” she said.

“And I want to thank my parents for trust and believing in me. Their support has been with me all throughout this journey and I could not have done this without them.

“I am also grateful for the support of my friends, relatives and all of the people who cheered for me.”

Elated parents Tokasa and Adriu Misiki were proud of the University of the South Pacific’s student’s achievement.

“We saw a new side of her and we are very happy and proud of her for what she has done,” said Mr Misiki.
