THE Nadi International Airport Bula Festival 2026 officially began yesterday with festivities the annual event attracted each year.
With 10 contestants vying for the 2026 Miss Bula crown, the first day of the festival marked the culmination of months of preparatory work by festival organisers.
Headed by the Nadi Bula Festival Trust, the 66th Bula Festival is expected to draw a record crowd with organisers expecting a large turnout throughout the weeklong event.
Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Lawrence Kumar said the festival has been a longtime catalyst of economic opportunities for businesses across the Jet Set Town.
“The Bula Festival is always an anticipated event of the year for Nadi and the economic benefit that is going to be driven out of this event is quite immense,” said Mr Kumar.
“It is going to generate a huge amount of revenue not only for the township of Nadi but also for Fiji’s economy as well.”
