BULA FC strength and conditioning coach Joshua Raj is confident that the team is ready for their first-ever professional football season.

Raj believes the squad has sufficient depth to remain competitive once the season begins.

“I think there’s great potential in the team; there is a mixture of young talent and experience,” the former India national football team S&C coach said.

“I believe the foreign players coming in, along with the diverse cultures they bring from different places, will definitely add more value to the team.”

He also highlighted the world-class expertise and support from the staff, emphasising that with everyone working together the franchise is set for an exciting and successful season ahead.

“The staffs’ expertise will certainly add more value, and I believe that as we approach the competition, we will all be on the same page and ready for it,” he added.

He expressed his honour at being considered for the role.

“I received a call a few weeks ago, and this was something I didn’t expect to happen. I had heard a lot about the team, but getting the chance to work with them is something else,” he explained.

“Coming here, I know it’s great to be in a place like this. Who wouldn’t want to be here? But while we are here, we are putting in the effort, so I believe the sooner we start, the better it will be for everyone.”

With talent at his disposal, Raj is enthusiastic about helping the team achieve its goals and objectives for the upcoming OFC Pro League.

The team continues their preparations at the Fiji Football Ba Academy facility and will begin their OFC Pro League campaign against Vanuatu United FC at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand, on Saturday. January 17.
