THE Extra Bula FC team is in high spirits as they prepare to take on Solomon Kings FC in the second round of the OFC Pro League.

The team will be looking for its first win of the season after a 2-2 draw with Vanuatu United and 0-1 loss to Auckland FC.

Currently sitting in fifth place with one point, Bula FC will need to step up their game against Solomon Kings, who are currently in third place with four points.

Team captain Roy Krishna is optimistic about their chances and is proud of how his young squad has been developing.

“It’s good to be back and playing here (PNG) it’s always a privilege. The boys are ready and we’re looking forward to a good round two,” said Krishna.

Roy acknowledged that there may be moments of frustration, but he believes in his team’s abilities and their long-term growth.

He encouraged his teammates to trust themselves and remain focused on their goals.

“We’re on the right track, we know how to play football, we know what the coach wants us to play and the way he wants us to play, sure, we’re still learning, but I’m still proud of the boys.

“We just need to play and follow the game plan to get our first win. The Solomon King FC is a good side, and we know most of the players from their national team, but we are going to focus on ourselves.”

The team captain also called on all Bula FC fans in PNG to come out and show their support during the match.

The team will face Solomon Kings tomorrow at the Santos National Football Stadium in Papua New Guinea at 5.30pm.
