Swire Shipping Fijian Drua forward Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta believes physicality is an imperative factor that needs to be elevated every week in Super Rugby Pacific.

The Drua brace for the Chiefs this weekend, a team hurting from their 19-25 defeat to the Reds in round three last weekend.

Mick Byrne and his men enter this new week with the highs of defeating the Crusaders at Churchill Park in Lautoka, and Cirikidaveta wants them to build on that.

“I think for us it’s building on our physicality, making sure that we are bringing it every week, especially this week when we have the Chiefs,” he said.

The two teams will meet for their second Super Rugby Pacific clash on Saturday.

They first met in Hamilton, New Zealand last season where the Chiefs, who were on a consistent winning run, schooled the Drua 50-17 in rainy conditions.

“We just have to keep working hard on and off the field, no doubt we will get the job done,” Cirikidaveta added.

Nicknamed ‘Big T’, the 26-year-old is familiar with the playing prowess of the Chiefs as he featured in last season’s match, where he wore the number 8 jersey.

The Drua also enter round four of Super Rugby Pacific still in search for its first win on the road.

So far, they have recorded two away losses and a home win.

Saturday’s match will kick-off at 6.30pm at FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton.
