COMPLETE Insurance Services PTE Limited (CISL) yesterday renewed their partnership with the Billiard and Snooker Association of Fiji (BSAF) for the third consecutive year.
BSAF president Keshwan Nadan expressed the sporting body’s appreciation to the sponsors for their continued commitment and emphasised the importance of their support for the upcoming national tournament.
“Sponsorship doesn’t come easy, but these guys (CISL) have come forward in the last three years, and in sponsoring this tournament it’s made us very easy to accommodate the players to play all the tournaments, the A grade and the B grade,” he said.
“This tournament will be the first tournament to be held at the South Seas Club in Lautoka; we will confirm the date later.”
CISL director Christopher Campbell said his organisation is pleased to continue supporting a minor sport in the country that has made significant progress since their partnership began three years ago.
“We are just happy to throw our support behind Billiard and Snooker Association of Fiji; we have done it for the past three years. Also, throw our support behind minor sports in the country, because I feel they have been neglected for some time,” said Campbell.
BSAF vice president Ramond Reddy highlighted the growth of the sport and the new opportunities available to players wishing to pursue it as a career.
“The good news is that now BSAF, Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji, has been accepted into the Oceania Pocket Billiard Association, which gives us eligibility now to compete at the world stage, World Pool Association,” Reddy explained.
