BUSINESS Outsource Processing (BPO) remains the backbone of Fiji’s outsourcing success and plans are afoot to broaden its horizon, according to the industry’s secretariat and promotional agency Outsource Fiji.
The agency was represented at the Contact Centre Symposium 2025 that took place in Rydges Resort in Hunter Valley, Australia last week.
“Outsource Fiji’s presence at the Contact Centre Symposium marks another step in its ongoing efforts to position the country as a hub for smart, scalable, and culturally attuned outsourcing solutions,” Outsource Fiji executive director Josefa Wivou said on the eve of their departure for the exclusive, invite-only event.
“Outsource Fiji is actively diversifying the industry by placing strong emphasis on strengthening the BPO sector, while also laying the groundwork to expand into knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) and information technology outsourcing (ITO).”
“Our focus is on creating employment opportunities for niche and specialised roles that will future-proof the sector and deepen Fiji’s global outsourcing capabilities.”
Fiji’s growing reputation as a nearshoring destination for outsourcing was showcased to over 110 leading Australian companies in attendance at the symposium.
With decision-makers on the lookout for quality, cost-effective solutions, the event, according to Outsource Fiji, presented a timely platform for Fiji to pitch its strengths in the BPO space.
