FIVE title fights are being presented by ZEG Kings Boxing Promotions in what promises to be an action-packed event for boxing lovers on November 1 at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
After a successful promotion in July, promoter Naroon Buksh is eager to make this second event even bigger and better.
The upcoming promotion will feature not only local boxers, but also fighters from Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
With 13 fights on the card, including five title bouts, fans can expect a thrilling night of professional boxing.
Buksh is excited to showcase talent from around the Asia-Pacific region and provide an opportunity for Fijian boxers to test themselves against tough international opponents.
“The exciting promotion is back, and it will be bigger and better for all our boxing fans in Fiji,” said Buksh.
“We will be having 13 fights and five title fights during the promotion, so it will be a great opportunity for our fans to witness professional fighters from overseas take on our local heroes.”
He said one of the highly anticipated matchups would see Binnu Singh compete for a title against Thailand’s Apichart Klintai.
Also, Jese Ravudi would face Sunny Morini for the New Zealand Professional Boxing Commission (NZPBC) title.
He said Ravudi was looking forward to building on his previous victory.
“It is a good chance for our local boxers to compete against tough overseas contenders to test their skills and ability in the ring.
“With our boxers, it’s great to see Binnu and Jese battling out (for their respective) titles. Jese won in the last promotion, so this will be a good opportunity for him.”
Runqi Zhou will also face a formidable opponent from Thailand for the WBA Oceania title, adding another exciting bout to the lineup. Buksh encourages boxing enthusiasts in Fiji to come out and support their local fighters, as he promise a night of excitement and full of entertainment.
The title defences on the card include Binnu, who will face Apichart Klintai of Thailand for the WBA Oceania Interim title, and Zhou will face Suriya Kaeokhao (Thailand) for the WBA Oceania title. Ra man Mikaele Ravalaca will battle Francis Chua (Australia) for the WBA Oceania title, Sunny Morini (New Zealand) is challenging Ravudi for the New Zealand Professional Boxing Commission (NZPBC) title, while Isikeli Senidoko is going up against Junior Abhay Chand for the Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) title.
