The South Pacific Boxing Promotions (SPBP) is exzpected to stage its first program for 2021 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on March 20.

The program will feature two Fijian title bouts.

Joseph Kwadjo is scheduled to meet Alivereti Kauyaca for the Fiji cruiserweight title while Ronald Naidu has been lined up to fight Nathan Singh for the Fiji super lightweight title.

Big names such as Savenaca Naliva, Jese Ravudi, Abhay Chand, James Singh, Sebastian Singh and Rakuro Daunivavana will feature on the undercards.

SPBP promotor Mukesh ‘Freddy’ Chand said they would invest $50,000 in the program. Chand said all the boxers had signed their contracts and had been paid 25 per cent of their prize purse.

“For the 4×3 minutes bouts, we pay the boxers a maximum of $400,” Chand said.

“The boxers who fight for the 6x3min bouts get between $1000 to $1200. For the 8×3 min and the 10×3 min bouts including the title fights, it depends on the experience and the record of the boxers. In this category, the boxers are paid between $2000 to $10,000.”

Chand said the contract prize purse was confidential between the promotor, Boxing Commission of Fiji and the boxers.
