“He will be my toughest opponent so far.”

Local boxer Nathan Singh has deemed his upcoming bout against Vanuatu’s Masing Warawara in the 2023 FMF Fiji Boxing Series as his toughest opponent and is expecting a tough fight when they battle it out on June 10.

Dubbed ‘The Prince of Fiji’, Singh said he has been preparing for this fight for the past four weeks and is in shape to take on his Pacific counterpart.

“He (Warawara) is a very good fighter. He knows when and where to throw his punches. This has allowed him to represent his country at multiple international fights, winning countless medals and awards,” Singh said.

This will be the main supporting bout of the event and will be the first ever in Fiji to be held under Tuwai Boxing Promotions.

“I can assure all my fans and supporters that I will do my best when I step into the ring. I believe that I am ready to take on Warawara, and I am looking forward to this fight more than anyone else.

“Currently, I haven’t won any professional championship, but I was undefeated in Fiji as an amateur boxer.”

Singh also mentioned that he is looking to compete on the international stage more rather than fighting for local titles.

“The biggest challenge we faced in preparation for this bout was looking for a suitable opponent. We approached many champions in Fiji, but we were unable to take things (into the) future because the amount they asked for was ridiculous.”

All ticket sales regarding the event can be purchased from SportsWorld Nausori, Nakasi, Suva, and Damodar at the end of the month.
