Bowls in Hong Kong play off

THE Fiji team is through to the Cup eliminations at the Tiger Bowls Championship in Hong Kong.

The national side skippered by Abdul Kalim recorded four wins and a loss in Group C. The team topped the group finishing with 27 points.

Former world number three Ratish Lal played a key role for the Fiji team which also has Santok Singh and Iliaz Khan.

The Tiger Bowls Championship is supported by Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association and approved by World Bowls Limited.

Fiji won the event in 2010. Som Padayachi, Semesa Naiseruvati, Lal and Kalim were part of the victorious team.

The national side will travel to Zhengzhou after the tournament to participate in the China Open later this week.
