THE South Pacific Foundation for Rural and Maritime Development has made a significant contribution to early childhood education through the donation of educational resources and materials to Mobile Kindy Fiji.
The initiative continues to support children in disenfranchised communities, informal settlements and outer maritime islands, helping to improve access to early learning opportunities.
The donation was made possible through the support of Summer Kabakoro, who worked through Rainbow Resources, a United States-based educational company.
The Nadolo family also contributed additional learning items, further strengthening the impact of the initiative.
South Pacific Foundation director Hossana Kabakoro said quality early childhood education was the cornerstone of national development.
She said the foundation’s focus had always been on empowering both teachers and children in vulnerable communities.
“Through these resources, we aim to ensure that teachers and children in vulnerable communities are not left behind in the pursuit of educational excellence,” Ms Kabakoro said.
Mobile Kindy Fiji continues to reach children who would otherwise have little or no access to structured learning programs, providing meaningful engagement, building foundational skills and offering hope for a brighter future.
The latest donation included essential teaching aids, educational games, books and classroom supplies to support teachers and caregivers as they help shape the next generation of leaders.
Mobile Kindy Fiji project co-ordinator Jodie Halabe said the donations would open doors to imagination and learning for children most in need.
“These gifts are not just materials; they are opportunities that empower children in our communities to dream bigger and reach higher,” Ms Halabe said.
The South Pacific Foundation thanked all contributors and encouraged members of the public to support its work through its website.
