FIJI Pearls coach Vicki Wilson has confirmed that British Army officer Adi Bolakoro will join the team during its Europe tour next month.
“Adi will be joining the Pearls as a training partner while we are on our European tour,” Wilson said.
“Adi may be included in the team of 12 for some of the European Championships Games.
“Adi’s addition as a training partner is all part of the plan to build depth within the squad. Depth brings competition and this is what is needed to continue to challenge and ensure all players are seeking to be the best netballers they can be.
“The squad has been working hard at training and the travelling team to Wales is excited about the challenges that are ahead. Strength and conditioning training under the guidance of coach Makelesi Batimala has been hard with lots of varieties to stimulate and challenge the athletes.
“The players don’t need pumping up for the tour as the South African Test series gave them all the motivation they needed to continue working hard as we set our sights on the Commonwealth Games.”
