Police are currently at Wailea Settlement in Vatuwaqa where a body of a man was found beside the road.
An eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity said they were shocked to discover the body.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they attended to a report of drinking sometime after 1am today.
She added this is when officers found a man lying motionless on the road with visible injuries.
