Tigers Lautoka FC president Shalend Prasad exudes confidence in the team’s potential to secure victory in the upcoming Pillay Garments Champions Versus Champions second leg match against the Rooster Chicken Ba FC this Sunday.

Despite the potential absence of defender Ilimotama Jese, who is attending his late father Lario Musa’s funeral today, Prasad believes in the determination and capabilities of the squad.

“We don’t know whether Jese will play or not but we have good players in Lautoka who can step up to fill in for Jese,” Prasad said.

The late Lario Musa, a former Tavua FC player, adds a poignant backdrop to the match. Heading into the game with three points already secured, Lautoka’s head coach Babs Khan remains resolute in the pursuit of another stellar performance this week.

The team aims for a draw, while Ba needs a win with a margin of two clear goals to clinch the coveted title. Should the Men in Black lead 1-0 at full time without the away goals rule, the match could extend to extra time and penalty kicks.

The crucial showdown is scheduled to kick off at 3pm at Churchill Park, promising a riveting clash between these two football powerhouses.
