Black and white is tomorrow’s wear at the Tui Nayau chiefly installation.
The island of Nayau, has always been known for its black and white wear at the chiefly installation which last happened in 1969 with the late President of Fiji and Tui Nayau Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.
Vaka ni Nayau Akuila Qalo said they expected a huge crowd at the event. “Traditionally for us in Nayau, we wear white and black during the chiefly installation so that will happen tomorrow,” he said.
Roko Tevita Ului Mara will arrive in Nayau Island today in preparation for his chiefly installation tomorrow. The ceremony which will take place tomorrow at Narocivo Village is expected to start at 8am.
