Birmingham 2022: Matanatabu to compete in plate quarter-finals tomorrow

Team Fiji’s Marika Matanatabu will play in the plate quarter-finals of the men’s singles squash event.

He will face Shawn Simpson of Barbados at 5.45am tomorrow.

After a fumble in his opening match to Jake Kelly of Cayman Islands, the 26-year-old has found his feet and recorded two wins.

Yesterday, he beat Othniel Bailey of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 3-2 in the plate round of 32 and Chayse McQuan of Trinadad and Tobago 3-2 for a place in the quarter-finals.
