THE Australia Day Vuvale Bootcamp and Sports Clinic at Albert Park in Suva yesterday was a huge success, with a large turnout of people eager to participate in the fun-filled event.
The day kicked off with some energising warmups to prepare everyone for a morning of fitness, sports, and celebration.
Representatives from various sporting bodies, including the Fiji Football Association, Fiji Rugby, Cricket Fiji, Fiji National Rugby League, Netball Fiji, and FASANOC, were in attendance to engage with the community and encourage participation in the activities.
The Sports Clinic featured games, music, food, and giveaways for all ages and fitness levels, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Colonel Henry Stimson, the Australian defense advisor to Fiji, expressed gratitude for the support from Fasanoc and the Fiji sporting agencies in organising the Vuvale Bootcamp.
He adds the event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and give back to the community through fitness activities and team-building exercises.
“We have been privileged to be joined by Fasanoc and number of Fiji sporting agents, and all organisations to bring the community together and just have some fun,” said Stimson.
“The idea of the Vuvale bootcamp is surely designed to promote healthy lifestyle, we do this several times in the year.
“It is our way to give back to the community, some of the training we do as part of the day-to-day work, to give people some ideas of how they can stay fit and healthy.”
The Australia Day Vuvale Bootcamp and Sports Clinic was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, have fun, and promote physical activity and well-being.
The event serves as a reminder of the importance of staying active and engaging in fitness activities as a way to stay healthy and connected as a community.
