Heavyweights Police Blue, Army Green, and Wardens Gold have signaled their title intentions with dominant opening-round displays at the 39th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s.
A hot Prince Charles Park in Nadi played host to a clinical start from the tournament favourites, with several big names keeping their sheets clean in convincing victories.
Police Blue and Army Green set the benchmark, both recording massive 31-0 shutouts against Dreke Young Boys and Nadrau Young Boys, respectively. Yaro Chiefs followed suit with a 21-0 clinic over Marist, while Fresh’et Navy and Jack’s Devo Babas both cruised to 19-0 wins.
Wardens Gold survived a brief challenge from Duibana to finish 19-7, while Ravuka Sharks dismantled Highland Bro Nasivikoso 20-0.
