Big day for Tuisova

OLYMPICS 7s gold medallist Josua Tuisova is expected to score the most important try of his life when he marries his sweetheart Tarusila Voliwa Ravouvou this morning in Lautoka.

The blockbusting Toulon winger arrived in the country last week after featuring in the Top 14 final against Clermont.

It is believed the Votua, Ba, native pulled out from the Flying Fijians squad mainly to prepare for his big day.

Nadi rugby and Tokatoka Westfield Dragons president Ratu Ponijese Lou Rayasi confirmed the wedding yesterday.

He said Tuisova first met his wife-to-be while playing for the Saunaka 7s team a few years back.

“The wedding will be held in Lautoka and it’s great to see Tuisova starting a new family,” said Rayasi.

“The two have been courting for a long time and this will be a new journey for Tuisova’s rugby career.”

Renowned for his bulldozing runs which earned the nickname “The Bus’ and the Human Bulldozer, Tuisova secured his rugby contract for Toulon in the Top 14 competition in 2013. His impressive performance for the champion Toulon team convinced the team management to renew his contract until 2019.

He made his debut in the Fiji 7s team in 2013 and played a crucial role for Fiji 7s to win the first ever Olympics rugby 7s gold medal.

Meanwhile, Tuisova farewelled his older brother and former Fiji 7s captain Pio Tuwai yesterday.

The ‘off-load King’ returned to New Zealand to join his wife.
