A Bench warrant has been issued against former schoolteacher, who is accused of posting a video in which he uttered abusive words towards the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Agni Deo Singh, in 2022.

Mr Kumar failed to appear before Magistrate Sufia Hamza, who subsequently issued the warrant.

It is alleged that on December 14, two years ago, Mr Kumar, while in the Suva Magistrate’s Court, secured access to a Facebook account which did not belong to him and used it to post a video on a social media platform titled ‘Power In His Voice’.

He is accused of uttering vulgarities against Mr Singh, who was the Fiji Teachers Union general secretary at the time.

The case has been adjourned to November 13.
