FIVE star luxury Radisson Resort has appointed Peni ‘Ben’ Sonewa as its new sales manager – MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events).
In a statement, the resort announced Mr Sonewa’s appointment, saying he came with a wealth of experience in the hospitality and events sector, having built a career across several of Fiji’s leading resort brands.
He began his professional journey with Rosie Holidays, before joining the Marriott Group, where he held sales executive roles at both the Sheraton Fiji and Marriott Momi Bay Resorts, and specialised in weddings and events. His career also includes key roles as Cluster Groups Conference & Event sales executive for Hilton Fiji, and Weddings & Events sales manager for Crowne Plaza Fiji, the resort stated.
“In his new role with the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, Mr Sonewa will lead the resort’s strategic initiatives to expand its presence in the local, regional, and international MICE markets,” it stated.
“His responsibilities will include managing key corporate accounts and strengthening partnerships that support the resort’s growth objective.”
Positioned as Denarau Island’s premier destination for small to medium-sized groups and events, the resort Fiji offers conferencing facilities for up to 120 guests.
