THE Australian Believe team is back in Fiji for yet another successful and enriching campaign.
Believe campaign director Neil Smith held a press conference in Suva yesterday where they launched Believe Fiji and gave an overview of this year’s campaign which is expected to begin next week in Suva.
According to Mr Smith, about 30 schools are expected to be visited by the group and they were working closely with the Ministry of Education to get more schools involved.
“Here in Suva, we are looking at 30 schools, which is made of 20 primary schools and 10 high schools but we are working closely with the education department to open more schools for us because we are already getting inquiries from other schools and communities,” he said.
Children specialists have also been brought in by the group to cater for the primary school campaign.
“Among the 300 people that are coming in next week are children specialists who look into organising children activities that would help them understand the whole idea of this campaign.”
The campaign looks into sustainable and long-term development where in the sphere of leadership, business, education, health and the church, hopes to gear the youths and the adults to get inspired and dream big.
The collective investment in this campaign is about $2 million from different organisations.
“We are working closely with any organisations that are on board with us in this campaign and we want to encourage you (the media) to work with us.”
The campaign has already begun in Lautoka and will move to Suva next week before heading to the North for their closing rally.
