The 2025 Battle of the Giants has been boosted with the partnership of Extra Supermarket as its official major sponsor.

In a statement released yesterday, the Fiji Football Association was proud to announce the collaboration as its president Rajesh Patel described their support as one that arrived at a pivotal time.

“Their generosity ensures that the tournament won’t just be a display of top-level competition, but also a celebration that brings fans together and uplifts our beautiful town of Labasa. It is truly a family affair,” Patel said.

It’s an extension of the partnership forged earlier this year between both parties where Extra has since sponsored the association’s various national leagues at all levels of the sport.

Meanwhile, the Battle of the Giants will see the top eight teams from the Extra Premier League go head-to-head in the second largest annual football tournament, the first being the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT which happened last month.

As the BoG returns to the Babasiga Town of Labasa after more than a decade, its bound to attract the support and interest of avid Labasa fans, as the team aims to add another piece of silverware to their cabinet, following their Fiji FACT win over Rewa.

Meanwhile, the tournament will be launched today.
