The Vodafone Fiji Bati players arrived in camp yesterday, marking the start of their preparations for the upcoming Pacific Bowl Championship.
Coach Waisake Kativerata confirmed that training will kick off today. “We will gather at the Grand Pacific Hotel on Sunday (yesterday) and will hold a church service,” he stated.
Kativerata emphasised a gradual buildup to their match on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
“Training starts Monday (today) at 9am. We’ll walk from Albert Park to the hotel for our first session.”
He noted they already have a game plan for the championship.
“We have just one week to prepare, but most of these players come from professional backgrounds, so they understand the task at hand.”
Kativerata expressed confidence in his assistant coaches, especially highlighting John Sutton from South Sydney.
“We’ll focus on the small details leading up to Saturday’s game.”
