PACIFIC sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro says Fiji is not ready to allow transgender athletes to compete alongside females.
If it happens, he says it will lead to the end of women in sports.
He made the comment in response to revelations by Athletics Fiji president Filimoni Vuli Waqa that the door was open for them to do so in the 2020 Coke Games.
“Men are physically more dominant than women. That’s a fact,” Tabakaucoro said.
He said new international rules required transgender athletes to meet stringent testosterone levels and questioned whether Fiji had the ability to conduct these tests.
