Bank pays out $2.7m dividend

FIJI’s locally-owned commercial bank HFC has paid out a dividend of more than $2.7million to shareholders — FNPF and Unit Trust of Fiji.

This was revealed by the company chairman Tom Ricketts at the bank’s cocktail party in Labasa on Thursday Night.

Mr Ricketts said such a benefit would flow back to the people of Fiji.

“Our commitment to our existing and future customers continues to be at the heart of our business and our relationship with them is critical to our success,” Mr Ricketts said.

“With eight months of operation as a commercial bank, we have brought greater value and choice to our customers with a suite of innovative products and services.

“We have delivered a reasonable profit and this is thanks to the contribution of our customers.

“A dividend pay to the shareholders both the FNPF and the Unit Trust of Fiji has been made totalling up to $2.745m and this means that the benefits will flow back to the Fijian people.”

Mr Ricketts added HFC Bank had established comprehensive trade finance and treasury services for its business and consumer markets.

“Business customers can also take advantage of the recently launched lease finance product.

“The comprehensive insurance product of HFC Bank gives you the option to protect everything that matters to you.”

Meanwhile, the cocktail party was organised to thank customers in the North for their business partnerships.
