STAFF and management of Westpac Fiji hosted their group chief executive of Business and Wealth Paul Fowler during his first official visit to the country since his appointment earlier this year.

Mr Fowler’s visit includes meetings with several key customers and corporate clients, and branch visits across Suva, Sigatoka, Lautoka and Nadi – spending time with staff and learning more about the Fiji operations and opportunities for growth.

“It’s been an incredible experience to visit Fiji and see first-hand the strong culture, commitment and community spirit that define Westpac Fiji,” Mr Fowler said.

“We’ve been operating in Fiji since 1901, and we remain committed to support the country’s economic growth.

“We see strong opportunities to deepen our support for business customers, and to continue empowering individuals and communities through tailored wealth and financial education solutions.

“It’s been inspiring to meet our Westpac Fiji team and see the pride they take in helping customers succeed.

“Their local knowledge and relationships are what makes Westpac’s presence in Fiji so special.”

Westpac Fiji chief executive officer Shane Smith said the visit was an opportunity to showcase the team’s achievements and deepen engagement with Westpac Group leadership.

“It was a privilege to host Paul and share Fiji’s warmth and hospitality with him,” he said.

“His visit reinforces Westpac’s commitment to supporting our customers, communities and people across the Pacific.”

Staff at Westpac’s Thompson Street branch in Suva hosted Mr Fowler to a traditional Fijian welcome ceremony, joined by Westpac’s Local Advisory Board members Jenny Seeto and Michael Yee Joy.
