Investment Fiji has commended financial institution BRED Bank (Fiji) Pte Limited for its sponsorship of the Excellence in Innovation Award at the upcoming Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA) 2026.
Marking its first year as a PMIBA sponsor, the French-owned bank is supporting a national award that has recognised Fijian business achievements for more than three decades.
BRED Bank (Fiji) chief executive officer Pierre Tastet said BRED Bank was proud to partner with Investment Fiji “because this award strongly aligns with the bank’s commitment to supporting businesses that are driving economic transformation through new ideas, improved processes and sustainable value creation”.
“Through this sponsorship, BRED Bank is pleased to align its energies with Investment Fiji and the wider business community to support initiatives that create opportunities, encourage investment and promote responsible business growth,” Mr Tastet said.
Investment Fiji chief executive officer Kamal Chetty said the bank’s support was well matched with the 2026 theme – ‘Economic Transformation and Inclusive Growth’.
He said the theme focused on businesses that were helping Fiji move into higher-value industries, use digital tools more effectively and create opportunities beyond the main urban centres.
“We are delighted to welcome BRED Bank to the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards partnership. Its support will help us highlight businesses that are responding to challenges with innovation and clear results,” Mr Chetty said in statement.
“These are the businesses that can open new markets, create jobs and contribute to a stronger and more inclusive economy.
“We look forward to building this relationship in the years ahead,” Mr Chetty said.
The Excellence in Innovation Award celebrates businesses that turn new ideas into practical results.
It is designed for organisations that have introduced new or improved products, services, processes or business strategies that help them work more efficiently, serve customers better or grow in a sustainable way.
Applications for PMIBA 2026 are open, and entrants will need to show what changed, why it mattered and how innovation improved productivity or created value for the business and its customers.
