Former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who was convicted of making an unwarranted demand to a public official will be sentenced next Wednesday.
Bainimarama appeared before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe for sentencing hearing at the High Court in Suva.
He was found guilty earlier his month while his co-accused former Commissioner of Police Sitiveni Qiliho was acquitted for abuse of office.
Appearing for prosecution was Assistant DPP Laisani Tabuakuro and Senior State Lawyer Pooja Mishra.
Bainimarama is represented by Suva lawyers Devanesh Sharma and Gul Fatima from RPatel Lawyers.
The case is adjourned to October 22.
