The bail hearing in the case of a man accused of killing his 25-year-old wife in an apartment complex in Suva has been fixed.
Apisai Madigibuli had his case called yesterday before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere in the High Court in Suva.
Mr Madigibuli is alleged to have fatally stabbed Kitiana Baravilala with a knife on April 25 last year.
He filed his second bail application in person.
Prosecutor Monisha Naidu from the office of the DPP plans to object to the application but has sought time to file the state’s response.
Justice Tuiqereqere has fixed the hearing date to proceed on April 25.
The trial date commences on July 21 next year.
Mr Madigibuli has been further remanded in custody.
