FIJI Badminton will be employing the services of international coach Brent Monday to help them with their Pacific Games preparations.

Fiji Badminton vice-president Ahmed Ali said Monday’s presence would really boost their preparations for the Commonwealth Games next year.

He made these statements during their Fiji Badminton Fiji Games at the Yat Sen hall yesterday.

“With the help of Fiji National Sports Commission we have been able to acquire the services of an international coach. He has helped Fiji Badminton during the 2011 South Pacific Games,” Ali said.

He said their new coach would be coming to Fiji in October.

“He is coming back in October this year to make sure that we make it to that level that we need to reach for the Commonwealth Games.

Ali said Monday’s presence in October would also motivate players to perform to their fullest potential and it would drive them to do their best in order to make it to the Commonwealth Games squad.

He also indicated that they would be revealing the names of their squads on a later date.
