The Fiji Government has confirmed the continuation of its Back-to-School Support for the 2026 academic year.
Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel said the initiative — first introduced three years ago — remains one of Government’s flagship programs to ease financial pressure on families.
“Each eligible child will receive $200 to help purchase school uniforms, shoes, bags, stationery, lunch boxes, and other essentials,” Mr Immanuel said.
Since its launch, the program has supported thousands of families across Fiji.
Assistance amount per child is $200 from ECE to Year 13 for families with a combined annual household income of $50,000 or less.
Applications open on Tuesday, 11 November 2025 and close on Friday, 12 December 2025
Application forms will be available from all schools or on the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance websites.
Completed forms must be submitted to your child’s school for verification. School heads will then upload verified applications into the FEMIS system.
School heads will be held accountable for all submitted information. The reminder follows cases in previous years involving false applications and altered FEMIS data.
Parents and guardians must ensure all details are accurate — especially mobile numbers — and that these numbers are registered for M-PAiSA or MyCash. No changes can be made after submission.
Payments will commence on Friday, 16 January 2026, allowing families time to prepare for the new school year starting 26 January 2026.
Funds will be disbursed through Vodafone M-PAiSA, Digicel MyCash and Post Fiji (TMO) for maritime families without mobile coverage
