Ba Women’s Rugby is facing a challenging preparation ahead of the first round of the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup.
The team will take on Navosa in their opening match on September 5 at Lawaqa Park.
Ba Rugby Union secretary Gabby Kautoga said the women have been having a solid preparation. Tomorrow, they will play a friendly match against Kadavu at Lawaqa Park.
“It’s been a good preparation for the ladies. Last week, Ba Rugby also had friendly matches against Vatukoula,” Kautoga said.
While the men’s senior team will be resting this Saturday, the women will continue their training in Lautoka. Meanwhile, the Vinod Patel Ba men’s senior team is set to face Nadroga in round four of the Skipper Cup on September 6.
Off the field, Ba Women’s Rugby is also making a mark with a farming initiative.
The team has started small-scale farming projects to support their club financially, showing that their hard work extends beyond rugby and into business ventures.
