NEWWORLD IGA Ba Women’s Rugby Team produced a stunning performance yesterday, dismantling Serua 88-5 in the final round of the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup at Lawaqa Park.

The emphatic win secures Ba’s place in the quarter-finals next week.

Ba came out firing in the first half, playing a smart and ruthless brand of rugby, which saw them dominate every facet of the game. By half-time, the home side had raced to a commanding 54-0 lead, leaving Serua struggling to find any rhythm.

In the second half, Ba maintained their intensity, continuing to apply pressure and extend their lead. The team’s structured gameplay, precise passing, and relentless support play ensured they never let up, eventually running out comfortable winners 88-5.

Speaking after the match, Vitorina Veikoso, Ba’s captain, expressed gratitude and focus on improvement.

“We thank God for His provisions to us. We represented Ba in the first two games, and now we look forward to the quarter-final next week.

“We are focused on lifting our game structure and implementing what our coach has taught us,” she said.

Ba will aim to continue their dominant form in the quarter-finals, hoping to advance further in the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup final.
